Desire 500: Intermediate Price model from HTC - Mobile

HTC Desire 500

Dimensions: 131.8 x 66.9 x 9.9 mm

Weight: 123 g

System: Android

Screen: 4.3 inch, 480 x 800 pixels

Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad core 1.2 GHz

Memory: 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, a memory card slot

Camera: 8 megapixel with photo light, auto focus. Video capture in 720p.

It is difficult to comment on the new Desire 500 when there is no information on price. The product name is used on HTC Desire cheaper models. Meanwhile, HTC has historically been difficult to push down the price of its phones under 3000 crowns, so our guess is that this will be a mellanprislur with a price tag of around 3500 SEK.

Interesting in this context is when the phone is equipped with a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, more specifically, the system circuit Qualcomm Snapdragon 200. Earlier, it is really only the low priced Chinese manufacturers who made cheaper phones with quad-core processor.

The screen is of 4.3 inches, the size of the low resolution 480 x 800 pixels. Working memory is 1GB and the built-in storage memory on modest 4 gigabytes. Memory card slot is available. The camera however is of 8 mega pixels with video recording at 1280 x 720 pixels.

HTC does not indicate the version of the Android system, but the phone must be equipped with the latest version of HTC Sense, including news feature Blink Feed.

In the current situation, we have no information if and when the phone goes on sale in Sweden.

4.2 rolled out the HTC One - Mobile

It seems that HTC listened to the criticism of much of what some complained of Sense 5 and Android 4.1 have been fixed. With the update, the mobile support for Android’s “Daydream” screensaver, the opportunity to have a widget on the lock screen, and you can share skärrmbilder immediately after you have taken them.

Instagram has been added to the novelty collector Wink Feed and Google Now can be accessed by pulling up on the “home” button, just like in Google’s clean version of Android 4.2. From there it will also inspire new alert features. Gone are also the black bar with the set button that popped up when you opened some apps.

Review: Otterbox Commuter HTC One - Mobile

Otterbox is a third party manufacturer that specializes in making protective cases for various phone models from a variety of manufacturers. The latest cell phone which they believe are worthy of protection is the flagship handset HTC One.

Commuter is meant to be used by commuter with thumbs. The shell protects against minor bumps and dust. The screen protector is not integrated in the shell, instead it will come with a thin transparent protection that you paste directly on the screen (do not drop it, more on that later).

otterbox commuter htc one

shell gray and white color combination is to survive, even if you happen to be gifted with taste. The design is certainly not garish but it still is with a heavy heart that man hides forms and details on such a beautiful phone that HTC One.

white part is hard plastic, the “inner” gray part is thick rubber. It is the only part (in addition to the screen protector), doors that cover the headphone jack and micro USB port is located in a portion of the rubber shell body.

As I mentioned earlier, be careful with the screen protector. It is covered by two layers of protective plastic that you pull off the small tabs. The idea is to first remove the bottom to expose the sticky part and then when it is the right place to pull off the top layer. I must admit that I screwed up and lost it when I had to fix it on the screen, and guess where it ended up with sticky side down on the ground. After that it was like the score pretty much gone, although it was still possible to paste on, it was impossible to remove dust particles and dirt that had stuck. The only thing they did was to take small unsightly streaks with nails in glue.

fadäsen I put on but the fact that the erosion of the headphone jack is too low when using a right-angle 3.5mm headphone jack (which, among other things, that certain Beats kids use on one cable end) so is not good. Either it sticks straight out from the screen or turn it to the right or left and loses one of the audio channels to contact then not quite reach all the way down.

shell does the handset slightly thicker and heavier, but it’s not a big problem. The volume control works well even though it is covered by the rubber, and the power button (on One also doubles as infrared light) is not affected since it is not covered. The same applies luckily even cameras, LED lights, microphones and speakers.

The overall fit is fine, the rubber part that sits around the edge is in itself not molded but notice only of if you start pulling and fiddling there. The shell provides some protection when disaster strikes can make a difference, but the question remains, is it worth hiding Ones sleek design for a shell that does not guarantee protection against either a tap from a height or water? Not according to me.

HTC Butterfly S - CNET

The good: The HTC Butterfly S boasts a 3,200 mAh battery and a half day of uptime, a powerful processor, and a brilliant screen. Its camera performs well in low light, and a microSD card slot offers the option of Adding more storage.

The bad: The glossy plastic material of the HTC Butterfly S lead to lots of fingerprint smudges, and the phone isn’ta water-resistant like its predecessor.

The bottom line: If a faster processor and bigger battery trump a sexy metal design, then choose the HTC Butterfly S, otherwise skip it for the HTC One.

The HTC Butterfly S packs better specifications Compared with the HTC One, but it does not have the great industrial build. If you’re the type who prefers the fastest hardware, then the Butterfly S is the one for you. Otherwise, stick to the better-looking the flagship One.

Announced in Taipei and targeted at the Asian market, the updated 5-inch smartphone features a faster 1.9GHz quad-core processor, the Ultra Pixel camera found on the HTC One, and a much larger 3,200 mAh battery. While it looks somewhat similar to its predecessor, the original HTC Butterfly, HTC has breathed new life into this handset with front-facing speakers and a fresh helping of Android Jelly Bean and the Sense UI.

Design
The HTC Butterfly S does Deviate much from the original Butterfly handset. The design of the Butterfly S remains pretty much Unchanged, except for the additional front-facing Boom Sound speakers like on the HTC One. This is a good design effort by HTC, as it makes sense for the audio to be directed straight toward the user rather than from the rear or the sides where it can sound muffled.

It’s really hard to tell from the rear.

If you like bigger screens, the HTC Butterfly S, like the Samsung Galaxy S4 sports a 5-inch full-HD panel. Like the original Butterfly, the screen delivers a good color reproduction as well as wide viewing angles.

Another thing I liked about the Butterfly S Is that it comes with the standard three buttons. It did take me a while to get back to hitting the Home button located in the center (I was using the HTC One before this), but I feel That having three buttons is better than the HTC One’s two, as it’s less confusing to have a dedicated app switcher button.

 HTC Butterfly S

Like the first Butterfly, the Butterfly S sticks to the same three -button layout.

(Credit: Aloysius Low / CNET Asia)

The micro-SIM and microSD card slots are located at the top of the unit beneath a cover. I was originally worried That the microSD card would be hard to access, but the slot is spring-loaded, so there was no issue with reseating the card. The power button is located next to the port, and like on the One, The Button overpriced doubles as an IR Blaster to remotely control your TV.

The handset is curved gently to fit into your palms, but unlike the flagship One, the Butterfly S is made with glossy plastic. Not surprisingly, the handset feels oily with unsightly smudges after prolonged usage.

Features
The Butterfly S is the first HTC handset to launch with Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean, though it still runs the new Sense 5 UI over it. There are some slight Compromises That HTC has made to the operating system for its skin, including a limited customizable lockscreen. Sense 5, by default, has a very featured range of lockscreens to suit different user preferences, making the 4.2.2. lockscreen features redundant.

 HTC S Butterfly

You do get access to Quick Settings, Albums, as well as the long-awaited battery percentage in the status bar. Blink Feed overpriced has been improved with the availability to pull feeds from WeChat and Instagram. WeChat feeds seem exclusive to the Butterfly S – it’s not available in the HTC One.

If you want to find out more about the HTC’s Sense UI features, be sure to head over to our review of the HTC One for more detail.

The Butterfly S packs 16GB of onboard storage, Which May not be enough if you have tons of multimedia files. Fortunately, it has a microSD card slot for added storage.

HTC One Mini for over many of the features of HTC One into a smaller format and for that matter even a little cheaper. According to HTC, there is a demand for handsets that fit a little better in the hand and HTC One Mini is there to calm the craving.

Looking at HTC One Mini, it is at first glance not much to distinguish it from its big brother. You still get the characteristic home screen with HTC Wink Feed that collects the latest posts from your social networks, as well as from the calendar and from other sources. Design language is also very similar and HTC One has metal shell and the same “Ultra Pixel” camera of the HTC One. With the HTC has pulled megapixel race in a new direction by using a larger sensor, but instead of offering lots of megapixels say they use the sensor for better light sensitivity and therefore better pictures in low light conditions.

The HTC One Mini

HTC One Mini is just like its big brother the HTC One speakers on the front of the phone so that they will play the sound in the right direction, towards you. We have not yet tested the product, but can at least conclude that the processor is of simple type and the HTC One Mini lacks NFC. The antenna for it simply had no place when you wanted to make a small phone.

Is this a way to primarily offer a smaller phone, or is it more about offering a cheaper phone?
– We want no compromise to the premium feel of HTC One to a smaller phone and this is what we does with new HTC One Mini says Graham Wheeler, product manager at HTC. I do not highlight any specific property, I think instead that the best HTC One Mini is whole, that all it does is to offer the best experience.

Ni expands HTC One family, so this means that we also get to see a HTC One Maxi soon?
– We speak not of future product releases, but thanks for trying (laughs).

Main differences between HTC One and HTC One Mini

HTC in freefall - Mobile

Taiwanese company hopes to reverse the loss trend through the flagship handset HTC One seems to have struck home, even though the handset has been generally well received by reviewers worldwide.

a profit of 1.25 billion Taiwan dollars after tax in the second quarter of this year, about 2.83 million kronor (from 70.7 billion in revenue) is down by 83 percent year on year. Company revenue for the same period in 2012 was 7.40 billion Taiwanese dollars after taxes, about 16.7 million (from 91.04 billion in revenue). Are you supposed to be positive about it like this is the second quarter still better than Q1 2013, however, was HTC’s worst ever with a 98 percent down running.

One, which according to HTC sold five million units in the first fifty days after launch, in and of itself helped to lift the numbers for the month of May, but after that, the interest among consumers cooled. In June, the numbers are worse and the question is whether the wide availability of the then launched Samsung Galaxy S4 may be an influencing factor.
