"HTC One should get åttakärnig processor" - Mobile

When HTC One was released last spring, spun a 600-fyrkärnigt Snapdragon chip inside the handset.

A leaked screenshot suggests that a new version of One model is on the way, and that HTC has thrown a new processor chip in it. The new chip will have eight cores (“octa-core”), and 3 GB of ram instead of 2 GB.

Can be slower than Snapdragon 600

If the reports are true, it could be MediaTek behind the new system chip. Namely, they are the only company besides Samsung announced a product with eight processor cores. But since MediaTek’s chip is based on ARM’s Cortex-A7 design, it’ll actually perform worse than the Snapdragon 600 chip already sitting in today HTC One writes the site AndroidGuys.

Other rumors say that the new variant of the One, will also get Gorilla Glass 3-glass and a new feature called “Clear Audio”.
