We’ve seen plenty of HTC M8 rumors over the weeks, but now that the Wi-Fi Alliance has certified the handset there is concrete evidence That the successor to this year’s HTC One is making its way through the proper channels in preparation for its Q1 2014 launch. The Wi-Fi Alliance’s’ certification document does not containe any details Regarding the HTC M8′s display, processor or camera, but it does show That the phone will be equipped with switchable 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands alongwith a / b / g / n / ac connectivity, Wi-Fi Direct and Miracast support.
One thing we’d like to note: the HTC M8′s Wi-Fi certification was Granted on December 10, roughly six weeks sooner than the January 21 certification date of the HTC M7 (aka HTC One). We’re not sure if HTC will announce the HTC One’s successor any sooner than this year’s February 19 announcement; but if the HTC M8′s development is tracking aunt, May we see the phone hit the market in late February or early March.
HTC M8 rumors claim That the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC 800 with a 5-inch 1080p display fingerprint scanner and a rehash of the 4 Ultra Pixel camera used in the HTC One. While the specs are a step up from the HTC’s current flagship, They Are not Necessarily noteworthy When other flagship devices are rumored to feature 2K displays and iris scanners coupled with the new Snapdragon chip 805. Fortunately, rumors are not always spot on – especiallywhen it comes to HTC devices. Up until launch day, the HTC One was rumored to feature a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro.
The one thing That we are certainkind about Is that the HTC M8 rumors and leaks will keep us on our toes until the very end. Do you think HTC M8 will be able a worthy successor to this year’s HTC One
