hottest when it comes to hardware this year is undoubtedly the Quad core. In a little more understandable Swedish it means that the phones are equipped with quad-core processors, which were previously available only in computers.
With four processing cores has of course everything else in the phones pulled up to the max, making the quad core for the moment involves flagship model from the manufacturer. In the current situation, there are three dedicated phone models on the Swedish market, the Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X and LG Optimus 4X HD.
The fact that it is about brute strength from this trio muscle models, we chose to compare them entirely on the numbers and the results we got through benchmark tests. Of course, you can read our reviews of the three headphones if you click on the link below:
Samsung Galaxy S3
HTC One X
LG Optimus 4X HD
But like I said, we have for a change decided to look more at the cold numbers than how they actually like to use. Click on the image below to see a pure facts table of the three phones.
we tested
We know there are thousands of tricks, puzzles, tricks and tweaks that can be applied to a phone to be as fast as possible, so that good results in individual tests as possible and to make the battery last as long as possible . Our point with this test is not to squeeze out every drop that goes from cell phones, but the fairest was simply to compare their behavior with the default settings and with it you get out of the box. Thus the following are all lurks a given pattern (unless otherwise stated).
* Sim card installed and enabled
* WLAN enabled and connected
* GPS on (but not necessarily active)
* NFC on
* Screen set to automatic brightness
* All pre-installed apps updated (made even search for new system upgrade, although none of them had any such available).
* logging and push from Google and their services (contacts, mail, calendar, G+), Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. We have not been using any built-in social services, but downloaded the official apps.
* Launcher set exactly as it appears we first start (where applicable example väderwidgets enabled and set to the correct city, but nothing else).
* Only the built-in apps for Music and Video has been used.
* The camera set to Auto mode and the focus set to the center of the image.
Scoring
winner of a category gets one point, second half points and third place nothing. In those situations where there is a tie then both winners a point each.
camera
Then we will come back with a little more filling test of smartphones and its camera, we chose to run four examples in this test. All four images into the three respective headphones can be found in the column to the right. There are two interior shots and two outdoor pictures where all the photos were taken at the same time (sorry the weather).
Winner: We leave the question open until the larger test, what do you think?
Music and Videos
We put together two packages, one with thirty audio into as many codecs and one with a collection of video files of different formats. When it comes to video files, these are everything from ordinary files to drive custom conversions and all the way to really tricky stories. Test files consist mainly of the official files that can be downloaded from the example Matroskas or DivXs websites.
Further details can be found in the two tables on the right which reports all results with the built-in players.
Winners audio support: HTC One X and LG Optimus 4X HD.
Winners video support: HTC One X & Samsung Galaxy S3
Quadrant
the results were clear, but not so far apart after all. Samsung Galaxy S3 picks the win, while the LG Optimus 4X HD captured second place and HTC One X lands last.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S3
Antutu
total points count, we take only the total score of the slightly broader benchmark program Antutu. You want to see the results for inp> Samsung Galaxy S3 victory, albeit with very small margin against HTC One X.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S3
Browser Land
Browser-based Browser Land is often give a pretty good indication of how fast the phone is experienced in ordinary use. Through mobile browser (Android’s built-in test at the moment) running a bunch of tests in which the result was a fancy staircase in the diagram above.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S3
Sunspider
Another browser-based testing program (through Android’s built-in browser also here), but with a greater focus on how fast the phone chews through Java code.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S3
Vellamo Mobile
Benchmarkapp with a major focus on surfing performance, even if the test is performed by the app. HTC One X and LG Optimus 4X HD comes stumbling close together, but still a bit away from the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S3
Speed ??Test
Measurement programs to determine how quality mobile wifi is. It was divided up between the test results upload / download speed and pingtid. Mobiles velocities were measured against the same wlan during the same time, so even if the result is not what the headphones can perform at its best, it is still a fair test between them.
Winner: LG Optimus 4X HD
PassMark
Just like Antutu is PassMark a wide test program that takes into account many aspects of the phone’s hardware. All deliverables can be found in the slideshow above while we only bring the total points in the point count.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S3
Battery Performance
Here we present no table when time constraints meant that all numbers could not get up. Our battery test live broadcast via Bambuser Friday and went out on the following:
* Via the official Youtube app streamed video over WLAN. The sound is sent out through the built in speakers at 50% volume strength. Due to a technical mishap was wlan the only connection the three headphones had, and Sim card was removed from all.
* WLAN enabled and connected
* GPS on (but not necessarily active)
* NFC on
* Screen set to automatic brightness
* All pre-installed apps updated (made even search for new system upgrade, although none of them had any such available).
* logging and push from Google and their services (contacts, mail, calendar, G+), Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. We have not been using any built-in social services, but downloaded the official apps.
4 hours and 26 minutes it took the fun out of LG Optimus 4X HD, while HTC One X fought in 7 hours and 21 minutes . At the time when HTC One X extinct had not the Samsung Galaxy S3 begun battery warning yet, but it was under Androids built-in battery meter on the 24% remaining battery.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S3
Total Score
Although in most branches (especially the subsections in Antutu and PassMark) differed only a few points, it quickly became clear the earpiece that became the winner in our performance tests.

Other Location: LG Optimus 4X HD & HTC One X
